Board Chair:  Tammi Holloway
Tammi is the President and CEO of SDC Services Corp., which provides management services to the Stapleton Development Corporation, and several other entities like the Metro Districts and Design Review.  She has worked on the Stapleton redevelopment projects for over 18 years, first serving as the Manager of Community Relations, then Assistant General Counsel, and finally General Counsel and Vice President of Operations prior to her current role.  Active on many boards, Tammi is a resident of Park Hill, Denver.

Board Vice Chair:  John Lehigh
John is the President for Forest City Stapleton, Inc.  With over 40 years of experience in real estate development, John previously was the Executive Director of the Denver Metropolitan Major League Baseball Stadium District, responsible for the development of Coors Field, and Associate Director with Procter & Gamble in their engineering division.  He is a resident of Southeast Metro Denver.​

Board Treasurer:  Doug Elenowitz
Doug is a co-founder and principal of Trailbreak Partners, where his focus is investment in and development of Colorado real estate assets. An expert in urban redevelopment, he has managed the origination, structuring, and execution of urban infill and environmentally complex real estate developments across the United States for nearly two decades. Previously, Doug was Executive Vice President and Director of Development for EnviroFinance Group (EFG), a development company that acquires, remediates and repositions environmentally impaired real estate throughout the United States.  A former member of the ULI Urban and Mixed Use Development Council and the Denver Public Schools Bond, he currently serves on the Mil Levy Oversight Committee and the Board of Denver Language School. Doug is a Real Estate Diversity Initiative (REDI) Mentor and a 2011 graduate of Leadership Denver. He is a resident of Stapleton.

Jim Chrisman
Jim is a Senior Vice President with Forest City Stapleton responsible for office, retail, industrial and multi-family development at Stapleton as well as overseeing master planning of the site.  Prior to this role, Jim was a Vice President with Stapleton Development Corp. (SDC) managing the conveyance of the property from the City and County of Denver to the private sector, and the Stapleton Redevelopment Foundation managing the preparation of and publication of the Stapleton Development Plan (“The Green Book”).   During his more than 25 years in real estate development, Jim also has worked with Disney Development Co. and other developers.  He is a resident of Southeast Metro Denver.

Diane Deeter
Diane is the Community Director at the Stapleton Master Community Association (MCA), which hosts more than 50 events each year and also manages Stapleton’s neighborhood parks and six pools.  She has worked at Stapleton for over 15 years, originally serving as the first Community Manager welcoming the initial residents to Stapleton and educating them on The Green Book.   Prior to her role with MCA, Diane worked with a developer as a liaison between developer, builder and buyers, and as a teacher.  She is a resident of West Denver.

Kenneth B. Durgans, Ed.D
Ken is currently the Associate Dean of Diversity and Inclusion at the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine, Anschutz Medical Campus. He previously served as a consultant for the United States Department of Education and Co-Principal Investigator for the $3 million National Science Foundation’s Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation Grant as a Diversity Evaluator for the Medical College Admission Test, and a Grant Reader for the Ohio Department of Education.  Ken’s professional appointments have included such notable institutions as the University of Notre Dame, Wittenberg University, Olivet College, Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine, Xavier University (Cincinnati), Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis.  

Tom Gleason
Tom is the Vice President for Forest City Stapleton responsible for public relations, governmental relations and media relations.  Prior to this role, Tom was the Director of Governmental Relations and Communications for the Stapleton Development Corporation (SDC); Deputy Director of the Denver Metropolitan Major League Baseball Stadium District, developer of Coors Field; and press secretary to several elected officials including former Denver Mayors Federico Pena and Wellington Webb and U.S. Senator Gary Hart.  He is a former founding board member of the Denver Language School, a Denver charter school, Tom is a resident of West Denver.

King Harris
In 2004, King retired from his private companies to become the Pastor of Epworth United Methodist Church.  Prior to 2004, he started and led several companies that specialized in retail, construction, and construction management with emphasis on large public sector projects.  He helped to revitalize Curtis Park and City Park West, and also became involved with affordable housing. At Stapleton, he is the President of the Park Creek and Westerly Creek Metro Districts, political subdivisions working on the redevelopment of the former Stapleton Airport.  He is a resident of Central Denver.

Happy Haynes
Happy is Manager of Denver Parks and Recreation and President of the Denver Public Schools (DPS) Board of Education – both full time jobs.  Prior to these positions, she served as the Director of Community Partnerships for DPS.  Most of Happy’s professional career was with the City and County of Denver, including serving on the Denver City Council for three terms and as its President for one term.  During her 26 years with the City, Happy also served as an aide to the Mayor and in the early days as an aide to a City Councilman.  She was the City Council person who directed their discussions and decisions that led to the development of the Denver International Airport and the redevelopment of Stapleton Airport.  A founding board member of the Stapleton Redevelopment Foundation and the Stapleton Foundation, Happy has led and served on many additional boards.  She is a resident of Park Hill, Denver.

Rus Heise
Rus, now retired, was the former Managing Director at RBC Capital Markets through August, 2013.  During his 37-year career in Municipal Finance, he was responsible for the financing associated with over $10 billion of municipal infrastructure. The redevelopment of Stapleton was one of those projects that he worked on with the Denver Urban Renewal Authority for approximately 20 years.  He also advised clients on appropriate use of derivatives in their capital structure.  Rus, who has led and served on several other boards, is a resident of South Metro Denver.

Kenzo Kawanabe
Kenzo is a fourth-generation Coloradan serving as a commercial litigator who represents clients in a variety of matters relating to commercial disputes, mass torts, product liability, and intellectual property.  A Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, he has significant litigation and trial experience in high-stakes cases. Kenzo also teaches at the National Institute for Trial Advocacy, and dedicates significant time to volunteer work including serving on the boards of the Center for Legal Inclusiveness, Colorado Lawyers Committee (Chair), and Colorado Legal Services. He previously was Board Chair of The Denver Foundation, one of the nation’s largest community foundations, which annually grants tens of millions of dollars to non-profit organizations. He also served on the boards of the Boettcher Foundation, Sakura Foundation, Colorado Nonprofit Development Center, Community Resource Center, and Asian Americans Advancing Justice in Washington, D.C. 

Getabecha “Gete” Mekonnen
Getabecha is the Executive Director of NE Denver Housing, a nationally recognized non-profit community development corporation in Denver.  He began as a grass roots organizer and through his leadership, the corporation has grown from a two-person organization to a $20 million asset-based business.  As its primary mission, NE Denver Housing operates community programs in addition to real estate development producing market rate and affordable housing. Getabecha serves on several boards and is a resident of Park Hill, Denver.

Keith Montoya
Keith is the CEO and owner of D1 Solutions.  As a young entrepreneur, he began that company more than 12 years ago after working at a few of Denver’s largest law firms running operations and managing a variety of projects for their clients.  Following the success of his printing company, Keith launched two more business concessions at DIA, one in sportswear and the other in food and beverage.  In year, he was named one of the “Top 40 under 40” by the Denver Business Journal.  Keith is also involved in Colorado politics.  In addition to serving as Deputy Campaign Manager for Ken Salazar when he ran for Attorney General, he has also worked on John Hickenlooper’s and James Mejia’s campaigns.  He is a member of several other boards and is a resident of Stapleton.

Laurel Raines
Laurel is Principal, Partner/Landscape Architect for Dig Studio, which she founded.  She previously was a design principal and landscape architect in Colorado at Hyatt Raines Vitek, EDAW, and AECOM.  Her work includes design direction with multidisciplinary design teams for both public and private sector clients.  Laurel has worked on the Stapleton project for over 14 years with Forest City and SDC in the design of the built environment for the major parks, neighborhood parks and other smaller projects.  Active on many boards, she is a resident of Central Denver.

Gloria Rubio-Cortes
Gloria has more than 30 years of senior leadership in philanthropies, nonprofits and corporations in Colorado and California.  She most recently served as President of the National Civic League and Executive Editor of the National Civic Review. At NCL, she was the first woman and person of color to lead this 120-year-old organization, which is committed to increasing the capacity of people to fully participate in and build healthy and prosperous communities. Prior to 2007, Gloria was a senior manager at the Levi Strauss Foundation and the Community Technology Foundation of California in San Francisco. Gloria began her distinguished career at the National Council of La Raza and the Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund. She has authored and co-authored numerous publications and serves on the Board of Mile High United Way. Since 2006, she has resided in Stapleton neighborhood in Denver. 

Dave Younggren
Dave is the President and CEO of Gary Community Investment Company and The Piton Foundation. Gary Community Investment Company was founded in 2012 to use for-profit investment strategies to support Piton’s philanthropic efforts. Piton was founded in 1976 and is dedicated to improving the lives of Colorado’s low-income children and their families. Previously, Dave was Senior Vice President of Gary-Williams Energy Corporation. His 39 years of energy and real estate industry experience includes three years as a CPA in accounting and taxation with Peat Marwick; four years with Cairn Investment Company, a diversified private holding company; and 32 years with Gary-Williams. Dave also served three years as a lieutenant in the U.S. Navy.
