People Power Creating Healthier Lives
From the earliest brainstorming about what to do with the old airport, health and wellness was a key focus—both for new families who would come to live in the new development as well as the families who were already living around the airport in Denver and Aurora.
be well is the name of the collection of innovative, grassroots programs that connect neighbors to neighbors, and neighbors to healthcare, fitness and nutrition resources.
The be well Neighborhoods Council is the “on-the-ground” resident group of people who act as the guiding voice of our Health and Wellness Initiative. The members of the Council are elected from the six neighborhoods in the be well Zone.
